Cookies

1. In brief

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing at all in your browser - no cookies, no local storage, nothing else. It uses no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising networks, and it makes no requests to other websites while you read it: the fonts and images are served from our own server.

That is why you are not asked for consent when you arrive. There is nothing to consent to.

2. The rules that apply

Storing information on your equipment is governed by section 3-15 of the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act, in force since 1 January 2025. The rule is technology-neutral: it covers cookies, local storage and any other technology that stores or retrieves information from your browser. The main rule is that such storage requires consent that is valid under the GDPR. Since this website stores nothing, the rule does not require anything of you or of us here.

3. How the language choice works

The NO / EN switch at the top of every page is an ordinary link to the same page in the other language. Norwegian pages are at vivanorth.com and English pages at vivanorth.com/en. The language follows from the address, so nothing needs to be remembered between visits.

Earlier versions of this website could store the language choice and the answer to a consent box in your browser (as vivanorth-lang and vivanorth-consent). The current version neither reads nor writes them. If they are still in your browser, you can delete them under browsing data, cookies or site data in your browser settings.

4. What we do not do

We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics tool. We embed no maps, videos, fonts, social media widgets or chat services from third parties, so no third party learns that you visited. No profile is built about you, and nothing is shared or sold.

5. Supervision and complaints

The Norwegian Data Protection Authority and the Norwegian Communications Authority (Nkom) jointly supervise section 3-15. If you believe this website handles the matter incorrectly, you may complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority. We would appreciate hearing from you first, so that we can put it right.

6. More on privacy

How Viva North AS otherwise processes personal data, including the web server's logs, is set out in the privacy policy.
